I HAVE NO FUCKING. CLUE what is going on with nginx rn. i want to use our actual server to serve video files here instead of using youtube embeds because ewwww. so im like yeah this is fine ill just change the old configs around and change some subdomain records. nginx is fully sharting for some reason like it wont for the love of god forget an old subdomain the symlink is gone for that config and i did restart nginx fyi. and i removed the dns record in namecheap but its still serving it SMFH?? but at least i got it to serve on the base domain name but now i cant get it to serve any new files it just insists that theyre not there. hey siri am i going insane or does nginx hate me specifically

this is so cool the entire thing just died completely now. the only thing stopping me from blitzing the entire server and starting again from scratch is the fact i have to manually download all the other files ive got on there smfh it should not be this difficult to wrangle nginx into a functioning state PLS ← guy who normally uses apache for this shit

and so 3 headaches later i find out that win sshfs adds executable permissions to all newly created files FOR WHY? so they are deemed forbidden by nginx. this was unrelated to all the other wack domain problems i was having but i solved those now. BUT NOW I HAVE TO DO SOME BULLSHIT TO FIX THIS. LIKE PLS
